Our approach to working with you

Behind Eljay Energy's success is a diverse team of highly skilled professionals, each contributing unique expertise and passion to our mission.

Hello, I’m Martin, Company Director at Eljay Energy. I started with the company as an apprentice in 2006 and went on to complete my Level 3 apprenticeship and gained a distinction at level 4 higher professional diploma in electrotechnical services. I have been working for Eljay for 18 years now with over 10 years in a supervisory position. In 2020 I was promoted to Company Director.
I manage the day to day running of the business and the first point of contact for contract work. I also ensure the company is growing and developing whilst keeping up with current technological advancements. I am responsible for designing, quoting, planning and pricing upcoming works and ensure compliance with NICEIC, MCS, Gas Safe and building control. I oversee 2 Electrical Supervisors, a Heating Manager, a Compliance Manager and the Company Secretary. Since 2011 I have been the driving force behind Eljay diversifying into the renewable sector, an area I am passionate about and will continue to drive.
In my spare time I enjoy 3d printing, hobbyist electronics and software development. I also like taking my golden retriever Daisy to the park and woods and getting away with my wife, Katie and children – Alexis and Felix in our campervan.

Hello, I'm Deb and I started the company in 1988 alongside my husband Mike as Eljay Energy’s Company Secretary. I oversee the running of the office and act as a line manager to colleagues. I work closely with the Company Director to ensure the business is running smoothly and represent the company during client meetings. My daily duties include completing HR management roles such as inducting new employees, completing payroll, organising works with subcontractors and external companies, such as builders and asbestos removers and processing invoices. In addition, I update and maintain company records, policies and procedures and assist with handling customer’s complaints and compliments.
In my spare time I enjoy hashing – a non-competitive running social club organised by the Hash House Harriers and walking my golden retriever Toby in Plymbridge Woods and Saltram Estate. I also enjoy going out for a cream tea with my family.

Hi, my name is Katie, and I work for Eljay Energy as the Compliance Manager and a first aider at work. My day-to-day tasks involve helping with heating upgrade design proposals of potential works. Once the onsite works are completed, I amalgamate and submit all documentation requested by the client into a property ‘handover pack’, featuring: design proposals, product warranties, certificates, photographs, user manuals and customer satisfaction forms. I also assist with tendering for potential upcoming works by answering set questions and obtaining the necessary evidence. Furthermore, the company was awarded ISO-9001 (a globally recognised quality management standard) and MCS certification (an industry-led quality assurance scheme), so I ensure that these certifications and systems are maintained.
A little about me…I own a golden retriever called Daisy who frequently visits the office with me. In my spare time I enjoy baking sweet treats with my family, reading books by my favourite author - Sophie Kinsella and going out for afternoon teas.
